The 2026 NBA Draft Lottery takes place in Chicago today at 3 p.m. ET, setting the order for the top 14 picks. Washington, Indiana and Brooklyn each hold the best 14 percent chance at the No. 1 selection.
The drawing occurs in a private room and airs live on ESPN. Sacramento and Utah each carry 11.5 percent odds after tying for the fourth-worst record. The lottery uses 1,001 possible combinations to determine the first four picks; the remaining teams then select in inverse order of regular-season record. BYU freshman AJ Dybantsa remains the consensus projected top pick.
