Police in Fuji City arrested a 68-year-old unemployed man on Saturday for repeatedly calling a woman in her 90s.
The man, a long-time acquaintance of the victim, is accused of making multiple calls to her mobile phone between June 13 and June 26. He had previously received a police warning about similar behavior toward the same woman.
On Friday the woman reported another call from the man. Officers arrested him the next day on suspicion of violating the Anti-Stalking Act, TBS reported.
The arrest took place in Fuji City, Shizuoka Prefecture.
