Apple TV unveils trailers for Prehistoric Planet: Ice Age and The Hunt

Apple TV has released trailers for two upcoming series premiering later this month: the docuseries Prehistoric Planet: Ice Age and the French-language thriller The Hunt. Prehistoric Planet: Ice Age explores the ice age era with narration by Tom Hiddleston, while The Hunt follows a group of friends targeted during a hunting trip. Both shows mark the streamer's final major releases of 2025.

Prehistoric Planet: Ice Age Details

Prehistoric Planet: Ice Age is a new installment in the award-winning natural history series, shifting focus from dinosaurs to the megafauna of the ice age millions of years after their extinction. Executive produced by Jon Favreau and Mike Gunton, and produced by BBC Studios Natural History Unit, the five-part docuseries features CGI depictions of prehistoric creatures. Narrated by Tom Hiddleston, it includes an original score by Hans Zimmer, Anže Rozman, and Kara Talve from Bleeding Fingers Music.

Apple's official summary states: “Prehistoric Planet: Ice Age” is a sweeping new installment... inviting viewers into a dramatic new era of prehistoric life... shaped by ice, the intense fight to survive and the rise of a new cast of giants: the iconic megafauna. The full season premieres on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, on Apple TV+.

The Hunt Overview

The Hunt (Traqués) is a chilling French-language thriller created and directed by Cédric Anger, with executive producers including Isabelle Degeorges and Sidonie Dumas for Gaumont. Starring Benoît Magimel as Franck and Mélanie Laurent as his wife Krystel, alongside Damien Bonnard, Manuel Guillot, Cédric Appietto, and Frédéric Maranber, the series explores a weekend hunt that turns deadly when Franck's group is ambushed by unknown hunters.

The plot summary reads: Franck and his longtime friends enjoy spending their weekends hunting together, but one Sunday, they come across another group of hunters who start targeting them without explanation... he starts to feel like he and his friends are being watched, or worse, tracked by hunters who are now hell-bent on revenge. It debuts globally on Apple TV+ on December 3, 2025, with the first two episodes, followed by one weekly episode every Wednesday through December 31.

These releases continue Apple TV+'s expansion into international content, following series like Drops of God, Carême, and Liaison. Apple TV+ is available for $12.99 per month.
