Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced recorded the strongest launch for any Assassin's Creed title on Steam. Market data shows substantial first-day revenue and steady sales growth in the days after release.
Market data company Alinea Analytics reported that Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced sold 701,000 copies on Steam as of July 13, generating $35 million in revenue plus an additional $1 million from minor DLC.
The game earned $22.4 million on its first day alone, more than double the $9.5 million made by Assassin's Creed Shadows on its Steam launch day. Four days after release, total revenue reached $35.1 million compared with $22.2 million for Shadows at the same point.
Alinea described the performance as the biggest Assassin's Creed launch on Steam to date. Earlier titles such as Valhalla and Mirage generated lower total revenue on the platform.
Some players avoided cosmetic DLC bundles priced above $85, with only around two percent making purchases. Six percent bought the $5 map pack. Ubisoft has faced review-bombing linked to microtransaction backlash.
