Barkov returns to ice after 324-day injury absence

Aleksander Barkov made his long-awaited comeback for Finland in the Beijer Hockey Games on May 7. The Florida Panthers captain had been sidelined since August 2025 with a knee injury.

Barkov played his first match in 324 days when Finland faced Switzerland in Ängelholm. He scored Finland's only goal in the shootout during a 5-4 loss on penalties but finished without regulation points.
