Former Pittsburgh Steelers outside linebacker Bud Dupree discussed a sack he delivered on quarterback Aaron Rodgers during a 2025 matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers.
The play occurred in Week 10 of last season during a 25-10 Steelers loss in Los Angeles. Dupree described the hit on Rodgers during an appearance on Cam Heyward’s Not Just Football podcast.
“Bro, I don’t know what A-Rod got going on, man,” Dupree said. “That was funny, man. That was funny. He usually falls though, he usually don’t take no hit.”
Heyward noted that no penalty flag was thrown even though the contact involved Rodgers’ head. Dupree also performed a celebration involving stomping after the play, which was his first sack of the season and one of three by the Chargers that night.
Dupree joined the Chargers after exploring a return to Pittsburgh before the 2024 season. The November 10, 2025, game marked his first matchup against his former team.
