Canadiens beat Golden Knights 4-1 for third straight win

Sam Montembeault made 30 saves to lead the Montreal Canadiens to a 4-1 victory over the Vegas Golden Knights at T-Mobile Arena. Zack Bolduc, Juraj Slafkovsky and Cole Caufield each recorded a goal and an assist in the win. The Golden Knights dropped their fourth straight game.

The Montreal Canadiens improved to 13-7-3 with their third consecutive victory, defeating the Vegas Golden Knights 4-1 on November 28, 2025, at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. Vegas fell to 10-6-8, losing their fourth game in a row with a 0-2-2 record over that span.

Montreal struck first in the opening period. At 14:30, during a delayed penalty, Zack Bolduc buried a cross-ice pass from Juraj Slafkovsky to give the Canadiens a 1-0 lead.

In the second period, Cole Caufield extended the advantage to 2-0 at 2:05, roofing a sharp-angle snap shot from along the goal line over Akira Schmid's right shoulder. Schmid finished with 15 saves for Vegas.

The third period saw Jake Evans score on a breakaway at 3:36, making it 3-0 for Montreal. Mark Stone pulled one back for the Golden Knights at 15:16, finishing in tight after a pass from Mitch Marner to cut the deficit to 3-1.

Slafkovsky sealed the win with an empty-net goal at 18:03, finalizing the 4-1 score. Montembeault's 30 saves were crucial in preserving the victory.
