PP leader Alberto Núñez Feijóo stated in an interview with La Vanguardia that he has fulfilled his pledge "I have not come to insult, I have come to beat him" regarding Pedro Sánchez. He explains that he uses certain expressions in legitimate defense against the Government president's provocations. He claims that 80% of people who stop him on the street tell him he is too soft.
Alberto Núñez Feijóo, president of the Partido Popular, referred in the interview to the twelve elections held in the last four years, in which, according to him, Sánchez did not win any. "PNV and PSC won, not PSOE," he noted.
Feijóo is not particularly satisfied with responding abrasively to Sánchez's provocations, whom he describes as a "very conflictive character" with an unprecedented level of provocation in Spanish government history. "Many times I have to use certain expressions, sometimes in legitimate defense, because otherwise it seems we have an inferiority complex," he stated.
The popular leader outlined his two main objectives: to achieve political change in Spain and ensure stability in autonomous communities with recent elections. He acknowledged the need to pact with Vox to govern in Aragón, Extremadura, and Castilla y León, and believes Vox voters want that deal.
For general elections, Feijóo upholds his offer that the most voted list should govern.
