The Freedom Front Plus has begun its voter registration campaign, criticizing the ANC's governance record and positioning itself for upcoming local elections.
The Freedom Front Plus unveiled its campaign poster and billboard in Centurion, Pretoria, on May 21 as it prepares for the voter registration weekend next month. Party leader Corné Mulder stated that the ANC has failed South Africans through poor governance and that the time has come for the FF Plus to lead.
Mulder emphasized reaching out to victims of corruption and poor service delivery. He said, “It’s our time together. We want to reach out to all South Africans and say, let’s take our hands and go forward and make a success.”
The party is open to coalitions with what Mulder called “good people” after the November 4 local government elections. It rules out partnerships with the uMkhonto weSizwe Party, the Economic Freedom Fighters and the ANC. In Tshwane, a coalition with the Democratic Alliance and others is likely. The FF Plus reports growing membership applications from diverse racial groups.
