Fiona Apple has written and recorded a new song titled "Horns of a Bull" that serves as the theme for the Apple TV+ miniseries Lucky. The track accompanies the series premiere, which debuted its first episodes on July 15.
The brooding track features pattering drums, warm piano chords, and Apple's signature sing-spoken vocals, along with percussion reminiscent of her 2020 album Fetch the Bolt Cutters. It includes the repeated line "my daddy put my crib under Damocles' sword."
Lucky adapts Marissa Stapley's 2021 novel and stars Anya Taylor-Joy as a con artist on the run after a heist. The cast also includes Annette Bening as a crime boss, along with Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor, Timothy Olyphant, and Clifton Collins Jr.
Apple co-produced the song with Amy Aileen Wood. This marks another recent release from the artist, who issued the benefit single "Pretrial (Let Her Go Home)" in 2025 and covered Neil Young's "Heart of Gold" that same year.
