Four people were seriously injured in a head-on collision near Ehningen in the Böblingen district on Saturday, including a pregnant woman.
A 46-year-old driver veered onto the opposite lane and collided head-on with an oncoming vehicle. The force of the impact caused his car to then strike a third vehicle.
The 40-year-old driver of the oncoming car had a pregnant woman in the passenger seat. All four people involved, including the 46-year-old and the driver of the third car, were taken to hospitals with serious injuries.
Police confirmed the sequence of events and the injuries. Emergency services treated the victims at the scene before transporting them to medical facilities.
