FX unveils new key art for The Beauty series

FX Networks has released a new three-part banner key art poster for its upcoming thriller series The Beauty, created by Ryan Murphy. The poster promotes the show's theme of perfection through injection amid a body horror narrative. The series premieres with three episodes on January 21, 2025, on FX and Hulu.

FX Networks is building anticipation for Ryan Murphy's adaptation of the comic book series The Beauty with a fresh three-part banner key art poster. The artwork emphasizes the tagline "Injection equals perfection," highlighting the show's central concept of a transformative virus in the world of high fashion.

The series follows FBI agents Cooper Madsen, played by Evan Peters, and Jordan Bennett, portrayed by Rebecca Hall, as they investigate gruesome deaths of international supermodels in Paris. Their probe reveals a sexually transmitted virus that turns people into physical ideals but brings deadly consequences. The agents confront The Corporation, led by a tech billionaire (Ashton Kutcher), who developed the drug "The Beauty" to safeguard his empire, along with his enforcer, The Assassin (Anthony Ramos). Outsider Jeremy (Jeremy Pope) becomes entangled in the spreading epidemic, with the story spanning Paris, Venice, Rome, and New York.

The global thriller poses the question: what would you sacrifice for perfection? Guest stars include Amelia Gray Hamlin, Ari Graynor, Bella Hadid, Ben Platt, Billy Eichner, Isabella Rossellini, Jessica Alexander, Julie Halston, Lux Pascal, Meghan Trainor, Nicola Peltz Beckham, Peter Gallagher, Vincent D'Onofrio, Jaquel Spivey, Jon Jon Briones, and John Carroll Lynch.

At New York Comic Con in October 2025, creators Jeremy Haun and Jason A. Hurley expressed emotional reactions to the adaptation. Haun posted on Instagram: "We joined Ryan Murphy and the amazing cast for a select preview and panel... seeing the absolute magic... genuinely brought tears to our eyes." Hurley added: "Got to see a preview of The Beauty TV show, and a panel with the cast... Nothing will ever be more surreal."

Murphy, speaking in October 2024, connected the project to his past works like Nip/Tuck and American Horror Story, noting themes of beauty culture and body horror. "I've always written about beauty culture... What would you do for love? What would you do for beauty? What would you do for money?" he said. He described it as his largest undertaking yet, comparing its scope to Game of Thrones and involving international filming.

Created and written by Murphy and Matthew Hodgson, the series is produced by 20th Television and executive produced by a team including Peters, Ramos, Pope, and the comic creators as consultants.
