Gorillaz is expanding their immersive 25th anniversary exhibit, House of Kong, to Los Angeles next February, following its debut in London. The event will feature full-album performances of their upcoming album The Mountain at the Hollywood Palladium. The exhibit runs at Rolling Greens from February 26 through March 19, 2026.
Event Overview
Gorillaz, the virtual band created by Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett, will bring their House of Kong exhibit to Los Angeles after a successful run in London during the summer of 2025. This audio-visual installation, developed in collaboration with creative director Stephen Gallagher, offers visitors an immersive journey into the band's world of misadventures and innovation since their 2000 debut single 'Tomorrow Comes Today'.
The exhibit highlights the fictional band's history through the perspectives of characters like bassist Murdoc Niccals, singer 2D, drummer Russel Hobbs, and guitarist Noodle. As the band described it, 'Visitors to House of Kong will take a jaunt behind the curtain of Gorillaz’s extraordinary world... An exhibition like no other, House of Kong is an experience for the brave and bold.'
Performance and Album Details
In addition to the exhibit, Gorillaz will perform their new album The Mountain in full on February 22 and 23, 2026, at the Hollywood Palladium, with guest artists joining the lineup. The album is set for release on March 20, 2026, just one day after the exhibit closes. Ticket holders for House of Kong receive exclusive presale access to the Palladium shows.
Stephen Gallagher emphasized the exhibit's unique nature in a statement: 'House of Kong is not a retrospective, it’s an audio-visual artwork; an installation that takes a glance backwards in order to identify the path ahead... This is no ordinary exhibition because in the world of Gorillaz, nothing is ever quite as it seems.' Tickets and further details are available on the official House of Kong website.
