Warner Bros. Discovery's HBO Max has renewed its multiyear licensing agreement with indie studio A24, ensuring exclusive streaming of their films in the U.S. pay-TV window. The deal includes upcoming titles like 'Marty Supreme' starring Timothée Chalamet and 'The Moment' featuring Charli xcx. It builds on the success of previous A24 content on the platform.
Warner Bros. Discovery's HBO Max and A24 announced a renewal of their licensing pact on January 14, 2026. This multiyear agreement will continue to deliver A24's films exclusively to HBO and HBO Max subscribers in the United States during the Pay-1 TV window.
The initial deal was struck in December 2023, following the expiration of A24's output agreement with Showtime. According to Warner Bros. Discovery, in 2025, half of A24’s Pay-1 titles ranked among HBO Max’s top 10 movies within the first two weeks of their premiere. Nearly 70% of viewers who watched an A24 film returned for more, averaging four titles from the studio.
"A24 has been an incredible partner, bringing a slate of talented creative voices and an engaged audience base to the platform," said Royce Battleman, executive VP of global content acquisitions for Warner Bros. Discovery. "Their bold storytelling perfectly complements the distinct programming offered on HBO Max."
Upcoming A24 films heading to HBO Max under the deal include 'Marty Supreme' starring Timothée Chalamet, Odessa A’zion, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Tyler Okonma; 'The Moment' starring Charli xcx; 'Pillion' with Alexander Skarsgård and Harry Melling; 'The Backrooms' featuring Chiwetel Ejiofor, Renate Reinsve, and Mark Duplass; 'The Death of Robin Hood' starring Hugh Jackman and Jodie Comer; 'The Drama' with Zendaya and Robert Pattinson; 'Enemies' starring Jeremy Allen White and Austin Butler; 'How to Make a Killing' featuring Glen Powell; and 'Primetime' starring Robert Pattinson.
In addition to A24's offerings, HBO Max provides access to films from Warner Bros. Pictures, DC Studios, Turner Classic Movies, and Studio Ghibli. Current titles available include 'One Battle After Another,' 'Sinners,' 'It,' 'The Conjuring,' and 'Final Destination.'
