Illa praises Jordi Pujol and Convergència in Sant Cugat

President Salvador Illa recognized the historical contribution of Jordi Pujol and Convergència Democràtica de Catalunya on Monday during the handover of the party's archives.

The event took place at the National Archive of Catalonia in Sant Cugat del Vallès. Illa stated that Catalonia owes much to Convergència and that the balance of its trajectory is positive due to its work in favor of coexistence.

Jordi Pujol, Artur Mas, Josep Rull and David Bonvehí took part in the event. Illa noted that a country that recognizes the merit of its former leaders has no fear of its future.

Artur Mas described Convergència as a great success story and of service to Catalonia. The documentary funds occupy 150 linear meters and will now form part of the country's memory.
