Isack Hadjar has shared insights into his dynamic with Red Bull team-mate Max Verstappen during his second Formula 1 season.
Hadjar, who joined the Milton Keynes-based team this year after a strong rookie campaign, described Verstappen as open and direct when asked for advice.
"He definitely doesn't ask me for advice, but if I ask him, he answers," Hadjar said. "If I need information, he's very open, very kind. So, he doesn't hide anything because he knows he's strong."
The French driver noted the challenge of matching Verstappen's pace, which has led to occasional errors including a crash in the Miami Grand Prix and a wall contact during Monaco practice. Hadjar said he aims to avoid repeating mistakes while focusing on his own development.
"There's just no time to be lazy, really," he added. "Every time I'm out on track, I know I need to dig very deep, because it's super impressive."
