Jordan Bardella's new literary and strategic book tour

Jordan Bardella, president of the Rassemblement national, began a book promotion tour in Bruay-la-Buissière, Pas-de-Calais, on October 29. This half-literary, half-political initiative comes just months before municipal elections. Despite the rain, a long queue formed to meet him.

On October 29, under steady fine rain, Jordan Bardella started his new signing tour in Bruay-la-Buissière, a town of 21,000 residents in Pas-de-Calais. This municipality was won by RN deputy Ludovic Pajot in 2020. It was just 6 p.m., but night had already fallen, with low clouds nearly touching the church steeples.

Despite the foul weather, a long line snaked from the Promenade-Kennedy course to the entrance of the Grossemy cultural space. Some visitors already carried Bardella's new book, Ce que veulent les Français (Fayard), under their arms, while others bought it on site. “Monsieur Bardella, it’s an honor to meet you,” said Françoise, an elegantly dressed elderly lady. A mother with her daughter and granddaughter complained about the wait.

This tour comes at an opportune moment, a few months before the municipal elections. It allows the young RN president to blend literary promotion with political strategy in a key region for the party.
