Kalmar HC signs Canadian goalie Brett Brochu

Kalmar HC has added Canadian goalkeeper Brett Brochu to its roster for the 2026/27 season. The 23-year-old arrives from ERC Ingolstadt in Germany's DEL league.

The club announced the signing on June 4. Brochu played 33 games last season for Ingolstadt and recorded 22 wins. Before moving to Europe, he appeared in 56 ECHL games with the Fort Wayne Komets and seven AHL contests with the Bakersfield Condors. His save percentages were 92.2 in the ECHL and 90.6 in the AHL. General manager Daniel Stolt praised Brochu's competitive drive and noted strong references from past coaches and teammates. Brochu said he is excited to join the organization and help the team win.
