The Karlovy Vary International Film Festival’s Promises industry strand has revealed the winners of its project showcase. Several film projects received cash prizes and development support.

The Eurimages Co-production Development Award, worth 20,000 euros, went to “Selamlik” from Sweden and Denmark. Jerry Carlsson directed the project, which was written by Khaled Alesmael and produced by Frida Mårtensson.

The MIDPOINT and KVIFF Development Award of 10,000 euros was presented to “They Bloom at Dawn” from North Macedonia. Angela Dimeska directed and wrote the project, produced by Ognen Antov.

Other honors included the Rotterdam Lab Award for Monika Matuszewska of Poland’s “Confirmation” and the Marché du Film Producers Network Award for producers Tomáš Hrubý of “Cowgirl” and Eva Váchová of “A Few Branches Off,” both from the Czech Republic.
