Katy Perry starts Germany tour in Hannover

US singer Katy Perry launched her Germany tour with a spectacular science-fiction concert in Hannover. The 40-year-old is performing live for the first time in seven years, showcasing a show with acrobatic elements. The tour accompanies her latest album, which has achieved disappointing chart results in Germany.

Katy Perry, the 40-year-old US pop singer, kicked off her 'The Lifetimes Tour' at Hannover's ZAG Arena. The tour began in April in Mexico and is set to conclude in December in the United Arab Emirates. This marks Perry's first tour in seven years.

Germany hosts four concerts: Following Hannover, performances are scheduled in Berlin on October 21, Cologne on October 23, and Munich on October 31. The shows feature demanding acrobatics, with Perry flying on wires through the air and riding a metallic creature. The tour promotes her seventh studio album '143', released in September 2024. In Germany, it peaked at number 16 on the album charts—the singer's weakest placement since 2001.

Off-stage, Perry made headlines in April with a brief space flight courtesy of Amazon founder Jeff Bezos' space company. Rumors also swirl about a romance with Canada's former Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. The 53-year-old and Perry, 13 years his junior, were first spotted together in July at the 'Le Violon' restaurant in Montreal. Photos capture them kissing on a yacht off the California coast. Perry separated from actor Orlando Bloom in June, the father of their five-year-old daughter Daisy Dove Bloom. Trudeau has been separated from his wife since 2023.
