سيشارك منتخب هارامبي ستارز في تصفيات كأس الأمم الإفريقية 2027 على الرغم من تأكيد استضافة كينيا للبطولة بشكل مشترك، وذلك عقب إجراء القرعة الرسمية في 19 مايو.

وضعت قرعة تصفيات كأس الأمم الإفريقية "باموجا 2027" المنتخب الكيني في المجموعة الرابعة إلى جانب إريتريا وغينيا وجنوب إفريقيا. كما تم وضع الدولتين المشاركتين في الاستضافة، أوغندا وتنزانيا، في مجموعات منفصلة.

يشترط الاتحاد الإفريقي لكرة القدم على الدول المضيفة المشاركة في التصفيات للحفاظ على التوازن التنافسي ولياقة المباريات. ولا يمكن إقصاء كينيا من البطولة بغض النظر عن النتائج، ومع ذلك سيتم احتساب جميع المباريات كلقاءات تنافسية رسمية.

وفي المجموعات التي تضم دولة مضيفة، يتأهل الفريق الوحيد غير المضيف صاحب المركز الأول في الترتيب. تُقام التصفيات خلال ثلاث نوافذ دولية تابعة للاتحاد الدولي لكرة القدم (فيفا): من سبتمبر إلى أكتوبر 2026، ونوفمبر 2026، ومارس 2027. ومن المقرر إقامة النهائيات في الفترة من 19 يونيو إلى 17 يوليو 2027.
