The NBA announced Luka Dončić of the Los Angeles Lakers and Jalen Brunson of the New York Knicks as Players of the Week for Week 6 of the 2025-26 season. Dončić averaged 37.3 points, 8.7 rebounds and 10.3 assists over three games. Brunson averaged 28.8 points and 4.4 assists in four games.
The NBA revealed its Players of the Week honors on December 1, 2025, recognizing standout performances from the Western and Eastern Conferences.
In the West, Los Angeles Lakers guard Luka Dončić earned the accolade after leading his team through three victories last week. He posted averages of 37.3 points per game, 8.7 rebounds per game and 10.3 assists per game. The Lakers defeated the Los Angeles Clippers, Dallas Mavericks and New Orleans Pelicans during that stretch. Against the Pelicans on Sunday, Dončić played 35 minutes, scoring 34 points on 40 percent field goal shooting, while adding 12 rebounds and seven assists in a 133-121 win. With Dončić in the lineup, the Lakers improved to 12-3, contributing to their overall 15-4 record to start the season. They trail only the Oklahoma City Thunder in the standings.
Season-long, Dončić has appeared in 15 games, leading the league with 35.1 points per game on 47 percent shooting from the field and 33 percent from three-point range. He also averages 9.2 assists and 8.7 rebounds, positioning him for All-Star and MVP consideration.
In the East, New York Knicks guard Jalen Brunson shared the spotlight, averaging 28.8 points per game and 4.4 assists over four games, shooting 40.7 percent from the field.
The Lakers face the Phoenix Suns on Monday at 10 p.m. ET. Previous weekly winners include Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Donovan Mitchell for Week 5.
