Madonna's new single 'I Feel So Free' has launched at the top of Billboard's Dance Digital Song Sales chart. The track, the first from her upcoming album Confessions II, also entered three other charts dated May 2. It marks her return to several rankings after a period away.
Madonna's 'I Feel So Free' debuted at No. 1 on the Dance Digital Song Sales chart, her second leader on the 16-year-old tally. The song arrived exclusively on iHeartRadio’s Pride Radio on April 17 before going wide on streaming and digital platforms, accompanied by an official visualizer. The May 2 charts cover the tracking week of April 17-23, as tracked by Luminate and reported by Billboard charts data providers Dance Digital Song Sales measures top-selling downloads in the dance genre, while Digital Song Sales covers all-genre downloads, where the track entered at No. 6—Madonna's 10th top 10 and first appearance since 'Like a Prayer' in 2024, tied to its use in the film Deadpool & Wolverine. It also bowed at No. 12 on the year-old Hot Dance/Pop Songs chart, her first entry there, and No. 14 on Dance/Mix Show Airplay, her highest debut in 14 years and 17th overall on that airplay ranking. This performance surpasses recent high debuts on Dance/Mix Show Airplay, with only four songs entering higher this decade. Confessions II is set for release on July 3 via Warner Records.
