Mariah Carey has released an expanded edition of her 1995 album Daydream to mark its 30th anniversary. The digital version, titled Daydream: 30th Anniversary Edition, is available now through Columbia Records and Legacy Recordings.
The new edition features unreleased bonus tracks, rare demos, live performances, and remixes. It includes the first release of Carey's private writing sessions for the tracks "I Am Free" and "Melt Away."
Carey said in a social media post that the original album marked several firsts for her, including her first rap collaboration on the "Fantasy" remix with O.D.B. and her first world tour. She added that the anniversary edition offers a glimpse into the making of the songs.
Daydream debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 and has been certified 11-times multi-platinum. Its hits include "Fantasy," "Always Be My Baby," and "One Sweet Day" with Boyz II Men.
