Marquito's wife, Milva Maia, updated on the health of the comedian, hospitalized in ICU after a motorcycle accident in São Paulo. She highlighted her husband's improvement and presenter Ratinho's support. Marquito is already talking and doing physiotherapy but remains under intensive care.
Comedian Marquito, full name Marco Antônio Ricciardelli and cast member of Programa do Ratinho on SBT, suffered a serious motorcycle accident on February 25 in São Paulo. The artist sustained multiple fractures, including in the spine, ribs, and clavicle, and was admitted to the ICU. On the first day, he was induced into a coma due to the fractures but was out the next day, according to Milva Maia, Marquito's wife, in a March 17 social media update. “He is talking, doing physiotherapy. He is great,” she stated, rebuking rumors of abandonment. Milva described the recovery as a “miracle,” surprising doctors despite the initially grave scenario. Presenter Ratinho has supported the family: calls daily, visited the hospital, and offered help. “Since the accident, Ratinho calls every day to check on him. He has visited, asks if I need help and said I can count on him,” Milva recounted. During one visit, Ratinho joked: “every Thursday I will present your segment.” Doctor André Evaristo Marcondes explained that staying in the ICU is common in high-energy traumas with vertebral fractures due to neurological risks, systemic complications, and the need for intensive monitoring, even after the patient is conscious.
