Deputy Máximo Kirchner accused former president Mauricio Macri of persecuting Cristina Kirchner and challenged him to compete in the 2027 elections.
Máximo Kirchner posted a message on Instagram in which he accused Mauricio Macri of organizing judicial persecution against Cristina Kirchner from the Casa Rosada. The La Cámpora leader linked Macri’s recent statements to alleged extortion of President Javier Milei.
Kirchner responded directly to Macri’s words about the Vialidad case, where Cristina Kirchner is serving house arrest. “A few days ago Mauricio Macri said ‘ask Cristina how it went with me’, making clear the persecution organized by him”, he wrote.
The deputy challenged the founder of PRO to run as a candidate in 2027. “We are going to ask the Argentines how it went with you, Macri. He already had the first answer in 2019 and, if he has some courage, which I doubt, he will have the second and even more forceful one in 2027”, he added.
Kirchner closed his message with a warning: “Having her in prison and extorting the current president will not work for you, Macri”.
