Millions of signatures delivered for Cuba's sovereignty

Books containing more than 6.2 million signatures were delivered to local authorities in several Cuban provinces. The signatures express support for national sovereignty and reject U.S. pressure.

The deliveries took place after simple political-cultural ceremonies in territories including Sancti Spíritus, Guantánamo and Las Tunas. Authorities received the documents as proof of the popular will to build a future in peace.

Yadira Bernal Nazco in Sancti Spíritus urged people not to remain indifferent to the empire's extraterritorial harassment. She defended historical memory, Cuban identity and national sovereignty.

In Guantánamo, Yairis Fernández Castellanos described the support of more than 290,000 citizens as an act of conscience. Gustavo López Ramírez in Las Tunas affirmed that Cubans will always defend the independence won by heroes and martyrs.
