Necrofier releases new single and video from upcoming album

Houston black metal band Necrofier has unveiled a new single and video, "Fires of the Apocalypse, Light My Path III," from their forthcoming album "Transcend Into Oblivion." The release marks the band's continued evolution in the US black metal scene since forming in 2018. The album is set for February 27, 2026, via Metal Blade Records.

Necrofier, a black metal outfit from Houston, Texas, has shared the video and single for "Fires of the Apocalypse, Light My Path III." This track serves as the third installment in the album's opening trilogy and highlights the band's signature blend of mid-1990s Scandinavian black metal atmospheres with a raw, fiery Texan intensity.

Formed in 2018, Necrofier has steadily gained traction in the US black metal landscape. Their new full-length, "Transcend Into Oblivion," promises a more focused sound, featuring icy melodies amid dense aggression. Vocalist and guitarist Bakka describes the album as a "Luciferian Dark Night of the Soul." He explains that the "Fires of the Apocalypse" trilogy depicts the awakening moment when doubt emerges and longstanding beliefs crumble. As the record progresses, it explores inner struggle, conflict, and eventual rebirth and transformation.

Regarding the single, Bakka notes that challenging entrenched truths incurs consequences. "Once the journey begins, there is no turning back, and the path forward demands difficult changes," he says. This theme manifests in the song's dynamic shifts and eerie atmosphere, underscoring tension and inevitability.

The album was recorded at Southwing Studios and House Of Thorns in Houston, with Joel Hamilton overseeing production, engineering, and mixing, assisted by Chris Kritikos. "Transcend Into Oblivion" will appear on CD, digital formats, and various vinyl editions, with preorders now available.

The tracklist includes:
- Fires of the Apocalypse, Light My Path I
- Fires of the Apocalypse, Light My Path II
