Previously, HBO developed 'The Corrections' as a pilot directed by Noah Baumbach, featuring Ewan McGregor, Dianne Wiest, and Maggie Gyllenhaal, but declined to order it to series. Streep, a three-time Oscar winner with roles in films like 'Kramer vs. Kramer,' 'The Devil Wears Prada,' and 'Mamma Mia!,' has recently appeared on television in 'Big Little Lies' and 'Only Murders in the Building.'
