New members inducted into Family Businesses Hall of Fame 2026

Handelsblatt, KPMG, and the Family Businesses Foundation have inducted three outstanding family entrepreneurs into the Hall of Fame. The new members come from water technology, satellite manufacturing, and machinery production. The ceremony took place in Munich.

Since 2009, Handelsblatt has honored exceptional entrepreneurs from family businesses in partnership with auditing firm KPMG and the Family Businesses Foundation. This year, Hans-Julius, Johanna, and Iver Ahlmann from ACO, a rainwater specialist based in Schleswig-Holstein, were recognized. ACO has grown into a global leader in drainage solutions.

Christa and Marco Fuchs from satellite manufacturer OHB also joined; the company evolved from a small workshop into a leading space conglomerate. Friedhelm Loh from the eponymous group completes the selection.

The formal induction of the awardees occurred on Wednesday evening at The Charles Hotel in Munich. More than 190 family entrepreneurs applauded the honorees. The event was hosted by ZDF presenter Kay-Sölve Richter.

This recognition highlights the contributions of such pioneers to the German economy. The jury selected individuals who drive innovation and sustainability in their companies.
