Operation Fastlink wraps production in New Jersey

Production has wrapped on Operation Fastlink, a crime thriller starring Bill Camp and Roman Griffin Davis. The film marks the feature directorial debut of Jerry Careccio, who also wrote the script. It draws inspiration from the FBI's early-2000s Operation Fastlink cybercrime investigation.

Operation Fastlink, a coming-of-age crime thriller, has completed filming on location in New Jersey. The cast includes Bill Camp, known for Presumed Innocent; Roman Griffin Davis, from Jojo Rabbit; Michael Rispoli, of Nonnas; and Jordana Spiro, who appeared in Ozark. Additional actors are Steven Strait from The Expanse, Joseph Russo of The Offer, Tyler Aser, Lauren B. Martin, James Mount, and Wyatt Danieluk. Jerry Careccio directs the project in his feature film debut, having previously worked on Serena, and he penned the screenplay. Plot specifics remain confidential, though the story is based on real events from the US Department of Justice's cybercrime case tied to the FBI’s Operation Fastlink. That investigation focused on the underground piracy network for movies, music, and video games known as the “warez” scene in the early 2000s. Producing the film are Rob Alicea and Tim O’Hanlon of Velvet Horizon Films, alongside Careccio through Bad Idea, with Paul DeAngelo as executive producer. Careccio shared in a statement: “I am so incredibly proud of this cast and crew. The iconic Bill Camp and Golden Globe nominated Roman Griffin Davis lead a powerhouse cast of characters that we aim to be remembered in cinema. The story which features the relationship between the ex-Crime boss Camp and his teenage protégé Griffin Davis is going to have audiences on a roller coaster of emotions as volatile as the Oregon Trail.”
