In July, the Orquestra Petrobras Sinfônica released two albums featuring classical music repertoires. The releases include works for clarinet and viola, as well as a string quartet.
The Orquestra Petrobras Sinfônica released the albums Lumière – Obras Concertantes para Clarineta e Viola and Coleção Armando Prazeres – Quarteto de Cordas (Haydn). The Lumière recordings took place live under the direction of Isaac Karabtchevsky, with solos by Cristiano Alves and Dhyan Toffolo.
The title Lumière means “light” in French and connects with works by Françaix and Debussy. Cristiano Alves commented: “O artista se alimenta de desafios. [...] Que todos possam percorrer este caminho de luzes, cores, sombras e belas texturas reveladas em ‘Lumière’”.
The Coleção Armando Prazeres honors the orchestra’s founder. The first disc features the String Quartet, Op. 76, No. 3, “Emperor”, by Franz Joseph Haydn, performed by Ivan Scheinvar, Daniel Albuquerque, Tiago Vieira and Mateus Ceccato.
