Nine Dots Studio confirmed that Outward 2 will launch into early access on July 7. The open-world action RPG will be available on Steam, Epic Games Store, and GOG with no console version planned yet. A new trailer promotes the game's support for older hardware through humorous potato specs.
The developer, now self-publishing after the original Outward sold more than 1 million copies, aims to build on that success with the sequel. Players take on the role of an average adventurer navigating a living world filled with mystery and danger. Local two-player split-screen co-op and online multiplayer will be available immediately upon release.
