Padel Pals to host USPA 250 tournament in Mesa

Padel Pals, Arizona's first fully indoor padel club, will host the USPA 250 Tournament from February 28 to March 1, 2026, in Mesa. The event aims to showcase elite national and international players while introducing the fast-growing sport to newcomers. With seven premium indoor courts, it combines high-level competition and spectator-friendly amenities.

Mesa, Arizona, is set to welcome a major milestone in the rising sport of padel as Padel Pals opens its doors to the USPA 250 Tournament. Scheduled for February 28 through March 1, 2026, the event is sanctioned by the United States Padel Association and will feature nationally ranked competitors alongside local talent. This tournament marks an early step in building padel's presence in the Valley, where the sport remains relatively new.

Padel Pals, located at 4945 S. 71st Street near Loop 202, was established to make padel accessible and energetic for Arizona residents. The club's seven climate-controlled indoor courts allow for professional play, while lounge areas and a bar create a social atmosphere for fans. Spectators can enjoy close-up views of the fast rallies and dynamic points that define padel.

"We built Padel Pals as one of the cornerstones to help grow padel in the U.S.," said Armando Acevedo, CEO and co-founder. He emphasized the club's design to host top players and attract new enthusiasts: "Once you watch it live, it’s easy to understand why people fall in love with it."

Carlos Pereyra, co-founder and head coach of Pereyra’s Padel Academy, highlighted the benefits for participants: "For players, competing in a tournament like this opens the opportunity to measure your level and identify where you can keep improving." He noted the excitement for fans, even those new to the sport, to experience the live energy.

The tournament aligns with Padel Pals' vision of fostering a sustainable padel community through regular sanctioned events, academies, and coaching. It offers local athletes chances to face elite opponents and invites newcomers to explore the game. Courts operate daily from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m., with tournament details available via padel-pals.com or the Playtomic app.

Acevedo added, "Awareness is everything. Tournaments bring visibility, visibility creates curiosity, and curiosity is what brings new people through our doors." This event promises to elevate padel's profile in Arizona, blending competition with community building.
