The death of YouTube star Jan Zimmermann shook the web video scene at the end of November. His 26-year-old partner Tim Lehmann now spoke out with a touching Instagram post featuring photos of shared moments. 'Jan was the person in my life I could talk to about everything, whether we had argued or not. He had unconditional understanding for me and always stood by me without exception,' Lehmann wrote.

Zimmermann's channel 'Gewitter im Kopf' reached millions of subscribers, especially between 2019 and 2023. In humorous videos, he depicted his daily life with Tourette syndrome, manifested through tics like swearing and obscene gestures, which he attributed to a fictional 'Gisela.' In late 2022, he underwent deep brain stimulation to manage symptoms and then paused YouTube to build a regular work life. He returned as a content creator in early 2025.

Lehmann highlighted Zimmermann's commitment: 'He managed to touch both acquaintances and complete strangers, inspiring them through his handling of the illness and giving them courage.' The post garnered around 450,000 likes within 13 hours, with condolences from users, YouTubers, and influencers. Lehmann concluded: 'I will never let you go. I miss you so incredibly.' These words underscore the deep grief and Zimmermann's lasting impact on his community.
