Actor Paul Bettany has shared details about the scene in the Starz limited series Amadeus that he found both exciting and nerve-wracking to film.
The scene involves his character Antonio Salieri declaring war on God inside a church. Bettany said he worried about adapting the speech because it was taken directly from Peter Shaffer's original play where Salieri addresses the audience directly. The series does not break the fourth wall so the actor had to find another way to deliver the lines conversationally.
