PSG and Strasbourg draw in thrilling Ligue 1 match

Paris Saint-Germain salvaged a 3-3 draw against RC Strasbourg in the 8th round of Ligue 1 on Friday at Parc des Princes. Despite Strasbourg leading by two goals, PSG equalized in the second half. Luis Enrique praised the opponent's quality while lamenting the three goals conceded.

The Ligue 1 clash between PSG and Strasbourg, played Friday evening at Parc des Princes to open the 8th round, delivered high entertainment. The Parisians struck first through Bradley Barcola (6th), assisted by returning Désiré Doué. Strasbourg leveled with a superb header from Joaquin Panichelli (26th), set up by Guéla Doué, before Pedro Moreira gave the Alsatians the lead (41st).

In the second half, Panichelli doubled Strasbourg's advantage (49th), bringing his league tally to seven goals in eight matches. PSG fought back with a penalty converted by Gonçalo Ramos (58th), after a foul on Doué, and Warren Zaïre-Emery equalized in two stages through Elye Wahi Mayulu (80th). Both sides had chances to win, but the scoreline held at 3-3.

In the standings, PSG provisionally tops with 17 points, while Strasbourg rises to second with 16, threatened by OM and Lyon (15 points). Strasbourg has never won at Parc des Princes (30 PSG victories, 9 draws).

In his post-match press conference, Luis Enrique vented: "No coach takes pleasure in conceding three goals." He praised Strasbourg: "It's one of the best teams in Ligue 1," and welcomed Doué's return, despite absences of Dembélé, Neves, Ruiz, and Marquinhos. "I'd like to play Strasbourg with my full squad," he added, congratulating Strasbourg coach Liam Rosenior.
