Closing the 21st round of Top 14 on Sunday, Racing 92 defeated Stade Français 47-20 at Paris La Défense Arena, reigniting their playoff push while remaining unbeaten at home.
Racing 92 opened the scoring with a try from full-back Spring in the 7th minute. Stade Français hit back via prop Melikidze in the 29th, as kickers Gibert and Foursans traded penalties. Spring added a second try in the 36th after a strong break, ending a first half low on quality play.
After halftime, Naituvi crossed for Racing's third try in the 42nd. Ezeala, starting at centre for the first time this season, briefly revived Paris hopes in the 58th. A disjointed second half with repeated errors and two yellow cards saw Racing awarded a penalty try in the 72nd for Parisian mistakes, before French international Taofifenua powered over for the bonus-point fifth try in the 78th.
The win lifts Patrice Collazo's side to seventh place, two points behind sixth-placed Clermont on 57 points. Paul Gustard's Stade Français hold fourth with 59 points but missed a chance to distance their rivals from contention.
