Bourque wins regional title, Bowersox advances as W&L equestrian finishes third at IHSA Regionals

Following a strong regular season finale where they tied for first that day and secured third in regional standings, the Washington and Lee University equestrian team competed at the IHSA Regional Championships in Blacksburg, Virginia. Samantha Bourque claimed the Intermediate Flat Regional Championship, while Lydia Bowersox took second in Limit Fences, advancing both to the Zone 4 Championship.

The Generals participated in the IHSA Regional Championships at Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, Virginia, building on their performance from the prior day's regular season finale.

Samantha Bourque delivered a standout ride to win the Intermediate Flat Regional Championship, earning advancement to the Zone 4 Championship. Lydia Bowersox secured second place as reserve champion in Limit Fences, also qualifying for zones. Elisabeth Marek placed fourth in Open Flat, Kate Martin finished fourth in Introductory, and Irene Tsengas gained experience in Novice.

The senior riders were recognized during the event as the program heads into championship season.
