Starz sets September premiere for S.W.A.T. Exiles

Starz has acquired the U.S. rights to S.W.A.T. Exiles, a spin-off of the CBS series that ended its run last year. The 10-episode season will premiere on September 25.

The pay television network will serve as the first domestic home for the series produced by Sony Pictures Television. A second window on Netflix remains under discussion.

Production on the season concluded in February. Shemar Moore stars as Daniel Harrelson, who returns from retirement to lead a new experimental unit.

The cast also includes Ronen Rubinstein, Freddy Miyares, Lucy Barrett, Zyra Gorecki and Adain Bradley. Jay Harrington, Patrick St. Esprit and David Lim will appear in guest roles.

Jason Ning serves as showrunner, with Kevin Tancharoen directing the pilot episode.
