Steelers intend to move first-round pick Iheanachor around offensive line

The Pittsburgh Steelers will move rookie first-round pick Max Iheanachor to multiple spots on the offensive line rather than locking him into right tackle. Offensive coordinator Brian Angelichio outlined the plan during organized team activities this week.

On the opening day of OTAs, Iheanachor lined up at right tackle, the position he played at Arizona State after starting at left tackle in junior college. Angelichio told reporters before Tuesday’s practice that the team wants to evaluate the rookie at different spots to determine the best fit. “We’ll move him around,” he said. “Take some looks at him. See where he fits well. We’ll certainly give him options. He will learn multiple positions.”
