The Stormers and Bulls head into the United Rugby Championship quarterfinals as favorites against Cardiff and Munster respectively. The Lions face a tough challenge away to Leinster.
The Stormers host Cardiff at DHL Stadium in Cape Town on Saturday while the Bulls take on Munster at Loftus Versfeld in Pretoria. Both South African sides have home advantage and strong recent records in the competition.
Stormers director of rugby John Dobson said the draw gave his team a favorable matchup. Cardiff coach Corniel van Zyl responded that the comments added motivation for his players. Munster will be without flyhalf Jack Crowley and lock Tadhg Beirne due to injury.
The Lions travel to Dublin to face Leinster on Saturday after spending more than two weeks in Ireland. They will be without lock Ruan Venter and scrumhalf Morne van den Berg through injury. Kurt-Lee Arendse returns for the Bulls while Damian Willemse and Leolin Zas were cleared to play for the Stormers.
