The Mary Wallopers announce new album Paddywhackery and UK tour

The Mary Wallopers have revealed details of their third studio album and a major tour across the UK and Ireland later this year.

The Dundalk band dropped the lead single Crowns of England on June 4 and confirmed that the album Paddywhackery will arrive on September 18. The record follows their 2023 release Irish Rock'n'Roll and was recorded over two weeks in Liverpool with producer James Skelly of The Coral. Frontman Charles Hendy described the single as an observer's view of England in 2026 that touches on themes of colonialism and outsider status. The band said the album title serves as a direct response to critics who have labelled their style paddywhackery. A headline tour begins on October 13 in Edinburgh and includes dates in Newcastle, Manchester, London and other cities. The Coral will support shows in Brighton, Dublin and Glasgow. Tickets go on sale on June 12. The group will also appear at a London event with Kneecap on June 27 at Crystal Palace Park.
