Tony Shalhoub joins cast of CBS drama Einstein

Emmy winner Tony Shalhoub will play a recurring role as the father of the lead character in the upcoming CBS series Einstein.

Shalhoub is set to portray Jack Einstein, the father of Lewis Einstein, played by Matthew Gray Gubler. The character is described as the great-grandson of Albert Einstein who works as a professor until he is recruited to help a police detective solve cases. The series is scheduled for a midseason premiere on CBS, with Melissa Fumero and Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor also in the cast.
