Tyler Perry's collaboration with Netflix continues to expand under a multi-year first-look deal, initially focused on eight feature films over four years and later extended to television series, running through October 31, 2027. The agreement was confirmed on October 23, 2023, and broadened on February 12, 2024.
Kicking off the 2026 slate is Tyler Perry’s Joe’s College Road Trip, set for release on February 13, 2026. In this comedy, Perry reprises his role as Joe, taking his grandson B.J. on a cross-country trip to impart life lessons amid escalating tensions. Perry directs, writes, and produces alongside Angi Bones, with Jermaine Harris and Amber Reign Smith in the cast.
Following in March, Beauty in Black returns with Season 2, Part 2 on March 19, 2026. The series, a top performer with hundreds of millions of viewing hours, explores a family's ruthless beauty brand tied to trafficking, where Kimmie rises to control the business. Season 3, the final installment, entered production in mid-December 2025 in Atlanta and Chicago. The ensemble features Taylor Polidore Williams, Crystle Stewart, Amber Reign Smith, and others including Debbi Morgan.
Later in 2026 comes Tyler Perry’s Why Did I Get Married Again?, a sequel reuniting the original cast for a wedding celebration that prompts reflection on their relationships. Perry writes, directs, and produces, with returning stars Taraji P. Henson, Jill Scott, and new additions like Da’Vinchi.
