Alexander Ospelt from Liechtenstein won the presidency of the International Ski Federation in a narrow 65-64 vote at the congress held in Belgrade. The outcome marks the tightest presidential election in the organization's history.

Hans-Michael Weisky, 67, has been elected the new president of the Bavarian Red Cross (BRK). The election took place at the state assembly in Deggendorf, where around 400 delegates voted for a four-year term. He succeeds Angelika Schorer, who did not seek re-election.
