Alex Ovechkin reaches 1,500th NHL game with Capitals

Washington Capitals captain Alex Ovechkin will play his 1,500th NHL game on Saturday against the Ottawa Senators at Capital One Arena, becoming the eighth player in league history to achieve the milestone with one franchise. Ovechkin enters the game with 899 career goals, one shy of becoming the first player to reach 900. The Capitals host Ottawa following a 5-1 win over the Columbus Blue Jackets on Friday.

Tyler Seguin plays in 1,000th NHL game for Dallas Stars

Dallas Stars forward Tyler Seguin reached his 1,000th career NHL regular-season game on Thursday night against the Tampa Bay Lightning. The 33-year-old milestone marks him as the 410th player in league history to achieve it. Seguin will be honored in a pregame ceremony on December 13 against the Florida Panthers.
