Rural violence

On the morning of December 28, Yolanda Dussán was injured by a gunshot to the face while working at a cockfighting arena in the rural Las Damas vereda of Algeciras, Huila. The victim was transferred to a hospital in Neiva and is out of danger. Authorities are investigating the incident without yet identifying the attacker.
