Anvisa authorized the resumption of activities at the Ypê factory in Amparo on Friday after an inspection confirmed corrections. Products from lot ending in 1 remain suspended.
The National Health Surveillance Agency authorized the immediate resumption of operations at Química Amparo, the manufacturer of Ypê products, at the factory located in Amparo, São Paulo. The decision followed a joint reinspection with state and municipal agencies that verified the adequacy of corrective actions implemented by the company.
Anvisa president Leandro Safatle stated that the factory meets conditions to operate safely. He visited the site on Friday, May 29, 2026, alongside director Daniel Meirelles.
Liquid products with lot numbers ending in 1, manufactured before April 1, 2026, remain banned due to contamination by Pseudomonas aeruginosa. The company must submit laboratory reports for possible future release.
The initial suspension occurred in early May after an inspection identified quality control failures at the unit.
