BAPERA denies involvement of Ranny Fadh Arafiq and Fahd in Polda Metro Jaya case

Barisan Pemuda Nusantara (BAPERA) has denied media reports implicating Ranny Fadh Arafiq and its chairman Fahd El Fouz A Rafiq in an incident at Polda Metro Jaya. Ranny's presence was purely personal to accompany her husband, while assault allegations were firmly rejected. BAPERA threatened legal action over inaccurate information.

Barisan Pemuda Nusantara (BAPERA) responded to media controversy claiming Ranny Fadh Arafiq attended Polda Metro Jaya as a DPR RI member. In its official clarification, BAPERA stated Ranny was there purely in a personal capacity to accompany her husband for a confrontation with investigators.

"BAPERA also emphasizes that the presence has no connection to any position, role, or other interests as circulated in reports," said BAPERA's Deputy General Chairman for Law and Human Rights, Henry Indraguna, on Sunday, March 29, 2026.

BAPERA denied allegations that Chairman Fahd El Fouz A Rafiq was involved in suspected assault and battery. Henry Indraguna stated no such incident occurred and Fahd was not involved, including any link to 'hired thugs'. "Their presence at the scene was not on orders, not brought by, and has no correlation with Fahd El Fouz A Rafiq, but is suspected to relate to a separate personal matter with other parties," he said.

Fahd and Ranny claimed they were the ones subjected to insults and verbal harassment. BAPERA views the spread of false information as unlawful under Article 1365 of the Civil Code and the ITE Law, urging clarification and warning of legal action if ignored.

"Accuracy of facts is the foundation of justice. When identities are misrepresented, the truth must be corrected immediately," Henry Indraguna added.
